"How will the upcoming Levy affect my taxes?" This is one of the most frequent questions our District is asked. Our CFO, Brian Wallace explains in this short video what current taxes look like and what a local homeowner might expect this year.
The CDA Press ran a headline today stating that Lakeland is running a $19 million dollar Levy. This is not accurate. Our Board of Trustees voted to run a Levy that is anticipated to have a flat impact to your school tax rate in the amount of $9.5 million.

Board meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6pm.
The next meeting of the LJSD Board of Trustees will a Regular Board Meeting on Dec. 8, 2020 beginning at 6:00pm. The Board of Trustees will meet in person, while social distancing. Because of distancing requirements, Public access to the Board Meeting will be on a first come, first serve basis. There is limited seating. The Board Meeting will also be available to view live on our Zoom Platform.
The 2020-2021 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 8. LJSD will open schools in the Yellow Level of our LJSD 272 Fall Reopen Plan

Welcome to Lakeland Joint School District
Lakeland Joint School District 272 is nestled in the Panhandle of North Idaho. It is home to six K-6 Schools; Athol Elementary, Betty Kiefer Elementary, Garwood Elementary, John Brown Elementary, Spirit Lake Elementary and Twin Lakes Elementary. Two 7-8 Schools; Lakeland Junior High and Timberlake Junior High. And three 9-12 Schools; Lakeland Senior High, Timberlake Senior High and Mountain View Alternative. We are also affiliated with Kootenai Technical Education Campus (a cooperative between Lakeland, Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls School Districts).
