Our Facilities / Maintenance department consists of 11 people as well as 11 head custodians, and 18 night custodians

200+ acres of grass to mow weekly which is equivalent to 151 football fields

If we change out the filter, belt, and service the machine every 6 months to ensure proper functions, that's 4.5 units per day every day.
Sidewalks
We have approx 30,000 lineal feet (5.5 Miles) of sidewalks that have to be cleared each morning when it snows by the head custodian before school starts.
Parking Lots
We have over 20 acres of parking lots.
Buildings
We have 15 Buildings, 11 Schools; 2 high schools, 2 middle schools, 1 alternative school, 6 elementary schools, 4 other department buildings we maintain - over 800,000 sf district wide.
Our Schools
Mountain View School (formerly Rathdrum High) built in 1937
Lakeland Middle School (formerly Lakeland High School) finished in January 1963
John Brown Elementary finished in the fall of 1962
Athol Elementary built in 1968
Spirit Lake Elementary built in 1968
Lakeland High School built in 1979
Garwood Elementary built in 1991
Betty Kiefer Elementary built in 1994
Timberlake High School built in 1998
